History of Merkurid creation
Cases of cancer, heart attacks, strokes, atherosclerosis, viral diseases (hepatitis, herpes, new varieties of influenza) are more frequent, despite the development of medicine. Today we do not get sick less. There are new diseases previously unknown to science. In our opinion there is a need to develop a new, replacement therapy, which would be natural and physiological for everybody. The best healers in the history of mankind — Avicenna, Paracelsus, Newton, Van Helmont, etc. — possessed recipes of effective and safe medication. We have gathered their knowledge, organize and combined it with modern advances in pharmacology, biochemistry, immunology, cell biology, and this work resulted in the creation of Merkurid.
It took us 18 years; we have created and studied the 700 new chemical compounds to get just one — merkurid. Ancient knowledge of the alchemists had helped us. 5 laboratories and 60 specialists worked on it.

Merkurid against tumors
Importance of the problem
1. Over past 100 years cancer has moved from tenth to second place by it"s morbidity and mortality.
2. Cancer will be in the first place by 2020, as projects WHO, and it will happen in 5 years, according to the American Hospital Association.
3. Cancer incidence is increasing worldwide, and it increased by almost 50% compared with 1950, particularly lung and colon cancer in men — by 65%, testicular cancer, prostate and kidney disease — by 100% and the number of lymphomas — by more than 100%.
4. According to WHO, there are 10 million new cases of cancer each year. In the next 15-20 years the number of cancer patients will increase to 20 million, and the number of deaths will be up to 12 million
5. Even in economically prosperous European countries, 837 thousand people die from cancer and about 4 million new cases are registered each year.
6. Cancer is the cause of more than 15% of all deaths.
7. Each 6th inhabitant of the Earth in any period of the life gets cancer and in 40% of cases dies within the first year after diagnosis.
8. According to world statistics, the disease affects 1 person every 72 seconds, and 1 cancer patient dies every 97 seconds.
9. The curability of cancer is only 26% today.
10. International Agency for Research on Cancer forecasts that cancer became epidemic in 2015.

Existing methods of treatment
Three main methods of treatment (surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy) are used in the treatment of malignant tumors.
Modern surgical treatment is directed on radical (complete) destruction of malignant tumors.
Radiation therapy, depending on the irradiation zone, is often complicated by diseases of cardio-vascular system (acute and chronic pericarditis, radiation fibrosis of the myocardium, accelerating development of coronary atherosclerosis). Respiratory system can respond to this type of therapy by radiation pneumonitis, chronic restrictive fibrosis of mediastinal tissue or other areas of radiation exposure.
Polychemotherapy of tumors, especially with the introduction of antibiotics of anthracyclinic array, may be complicated by cardiomyopathy, and therapy with use of complex compounds, including heavy metals (platinum compounds), may be complicated by renal disease. One of the heavy and fairly frequent complications of corticosteroid therapy is ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, sometimes with abundant and even fatal bleeding. Finally, in recent years the most formidable and growing complication of anticancer therapy is an occurrence of second tumors, as a cumulative result of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome and induction of antitumor agents, which have carcinogenic effect in most cases. Most often latter complication observed in the treatment of Hodgkin"s disease in the form of metachronous occurrence of acute myelo-monoblast leukemia or solid neoplasms (cancers, sarcomas of different localization).

Cost of treatment
Treatment of cancer on stage III costs about 25-30 thousand dollars, of oncohaematological patients costs more than 100 thousand dollars.

Properties of merkurid that enhance the antitumor protection
«Merkurid-onkostop»
1. Normalizes levels of populations SD3+(T lymphocytes), CD19+(B-lymphocytes).
2. Activates phagocytosis
3. Recovers levels of IgA, IgM, IgG — humoral factors of immunity.
4. Promotes development of Th1-dependent response, that performs a protective role in tumors.
5. Activates function of T-helpers type I and inhibits function of T-helper type II, that take effect in increasing synthesis of gamma-interferon, I«-2, I«-12, TNF and reducing production of I«-10.
6. Normalizes antigenpresenting function of cells CD4+.
7. Increases activity of SD16+ (natural killers) and cytotoxic lymphocytes CD8+, which are responsible for destruction of damaged cells, unable to regenerate, and abnormal — malignant cells.
8. Increases number of ND95+ (apoptosis receptor), which promotes tumor regression, due to inclusion of tumor cells" apoptosis mechanism.
9. Increases number of CD80+ molecules, the most important co-stimulating molecule which enhances the immunogenicity of transformed cells, thereby abolishing anergy of cytotoxic lymphocytes and consequently increasing cytolysis of tumor cells by immunocompetent cells of the body.
«Merkurid-onkostop» normalizes production of I«-2, which increases cytolytic function of T-killers and NK-cells, increases production of perforines and interferon-gamma by these cells, activates monocytes and macrophages, which increase synthesis and secretion of TNF, I«-1b, I«-6, I«-8, granulocyte-colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF).
In the treatment of malignant tumors «Merkurid-onkostop» can be used as monotherapy or as support medication during chemo- and radiotherapy, that increases effectiveness of the therapy due to ability of Merkurid to protect healthy cells from chemical and radiation damage. It allows to use more intensive therapy schemes with potent chemodrugs and irradiation in large doses. It restores sensitivity of tumor cells to cytostatics. It prevents loss of hair, reduces vegetative, dyspeptic and pain syndromes. It promotes normalization of quality of life, as well as the restoration of antitumor immunity functions. It increases the body"s ability to destroy cancer cells by itself. It restores number of leukocytes and lymphocytes, promotes their proliferation and differentiation for the development of adequate body"s immunological reactions against tumor cells.

Information stated above is presented for physicians, so we decided to translate it in language that is more understandable for readers.
Use of Merkurid:
1. Promote revitalizing of activity of body"s own cells, which provide our antitumor protection. Exactly, it increases the number of leukocytes and lymphocytes — cells that nature gave us for protection against tumors, viruses, parasites.
2. Note another important point — Merkurid promotes their proliferation and differentiation, i.e. creation the same assembly of immunity cells, needed for full-scale protection. «ike in the state, one cells detect the enemy, second killed it, third clear the battlefield, fourth keep order and alert all of the threat in case of attack, fifth increase combat readiness of troops, but their number and activity must be balanced.
For example, merkurid activates so-called antigenrepresenting cells CD4 that searches infected tumor cells and present them for the destruction by CD8 (cells-soldiers). Besides them, there are more highly specialized cells CD16 (killers of the tumors)  — the kind of special forces, so called «natural killers» who find and destroy tumor cells by themselves.
4. Also Merkurid promotes producing of protein molecules called TNF (tumor necrotizing factor), that act like a missile at distance and give tumor cells order to suicide.
5. Tumor cells have developed the tactics of defend against lymphocytes, i.e. CD8, lymphocyte-warrior, must receive an additional signal from the receptor ND80, from the surface of tumor cell, to destroy it. This is a necessary confirmation for beginning of the attack. Tumor cells are trying to escape from destruction by throwing away markers — in that case lymphocyte-warrior don"t begin an attack and cancer cells remains untouched. Merkurid don"t let tumors to throw away these markers, and lymphocyte-warrior CD8 can destroy tumor cells.
Combination of all these actions increases antitumor protection, making it more efficient, and therefore reduces risk of recurrence or development of metastasis, improves the quality of patients" life and reduces risk of mortality. Merkurid is recommended for use in all types of cancer, as well as benign tumors — uterine fibroids, mastitis, thyroiditis, polyps of the stomach and intestines, adenoma of prostate.
